Ovicups are one of our simpler traps used for detecting the presence of Aedes mosquitoes. The cup is lined with a coffee filter and is filled with water, which provides an attractive place for the mosquito to lay its eggs. Once a week, the coffee filter is collected and is inspected for the presence of Aedes eggs.
